Greetings, program directors.  I hoped to say goodbye in person in Las Vegas but was unable to attend.  I have decided to retire in December.
Quick update: my treatments and medical procedures have gone extremely well.  My family and I are looking forward to a full recovery.

Dr. Carole Ivey has been serving as the Department's Interim Chair since I started my medical leave last December.  She will continue in that role until a new PD/Chair is recruited or appointed.  I'm confident you'll offer her all the support you've given me these past
10 years.  I have enjoyed working with the leaders and members of the Academic Leadership Council and wish you the very best in the future.
