I think the way review teams look at this is in the context of the curriculum design and courses. I know we have had to be very intentional with looking at how we are addressing the scope of mental health. For example a faculty member may have experience with child mental health and we work to make sure they get continuing education with adults and older adults with mental health issues. We have had faculty volunteer at a clubhouse to enrich her experiences. Like most things in OT it all depends on the context.

Best, Janet

Good afternoon everyone! I heard that faculty with specialties related to dementia care qualify to teach mental health courses. Can anyone confirm or deny this? Thank you!
