We have a faculty member who supervises up to 4 students in role emerging level 2 FW and that is part of her typical workload. When we have more than 4 students out in role emerging at a time, we have been paying faculty the equivalent of a 4 credit course for their time supervising the students (two students/site). If we use an adjunct, they are also paid for four credits to supervise 2 students.

Subject: [OT-PD List - AOTA] - Non-Traditional Fieldwork Level II
EXTERNAL EMAIL ALERT: The sender is not using a Stockton email address. Please use caution.
We are working on expanding our non-traditional fieldwork opportunities to include options for fieldwork level II in community settings that do not have an OT on-site. Would anyone be willing to share with me how programs account for faculty time in supervise students in these settings or are community therapists providing the supervision. If it is community therapists, is there some way that you are compensating therapist for their time since it is not a part of their work in paid employment. Thanks in advance!
