Hello Colleagues,

Our university does not indemnify students. This policy has led to  the loss of several fieldwork sites and now a learning experience is in jeopardy.

Is asking the students to buy malpractice insurance a sound work around? Does your program or organization cover the fees from student tuition or is the cost an additional burden to the students?  Would you share how your department addresses student malpractice insurance coverage?
