RE: Observation Hours Beth Cardell 17 Nov 2023 11:57 EST

We also require 40 hours of observation, signed off, for the same reason.

We require 40 hours of observation with an OT and the hours need to be signed off by the OT. We believe that the observations help students more clearly understand the scope of the profession before starting their studies and helps retain students.

Hello! I was wondering if anyone had any data regarding the percentage of OT programs that require observation hours as part of their admissions process? I haven't been able to locate and would like to present facts when requesting this be required. Thank you!
