At our University, I get a 50% course release plus extra pay in the summer since we work on a ten month contract. In the past, program chairs always got one additional course release to work on the self-study when having our reaccreditation.

At Point Loma Nazarene University, full-time faculty are expected to teach 27 credit units for 3 terms, and  the program director has a 50% release so is expected to teach 13.5 units for the three terms.

We are a new program and have our self-study due November 2024. I am wondering if any other new program directors have been given any additional release time from teaching to work on the self-study?  If so, how many units of release time for the term (s) or year before the self-study is due?
