Our students can apply for a graduate assistantship. Our 2nd & 3rd year students can also apply for Foundation scholarships (up to $5000). The first year students don't have that option and we are working with adminstration to change that. We also are working on being able to offer a scholarship to our top 2-3 applicants upon admission decision. Applicants report that other schools in our area offer scholarships upon admission, mainly private institutions.

Hello,

I am in discussion with my institution’s financial aid office about scholarships or tuition discounts for the OTD program. I was told it is unusual for graduate programs to offer institutional scholarships or tuition discounts.

Is that accurate for OT? I have students each year report they are receiving institutional aid from other programs. What is current practice for OT?

Has anyone heard of institutions offering housing discounts or other support?

Even just a quick “yes aid” or “no aid” would be helpful.
