Re: OT Program Grad Assistants?

Our students apply for GA positions which are based on credits. One credit is equal to 3 hours of work per week (14 weeks); 2 credits is 5 hours of work per week, etc. Most of our students receive 1-2 GA credits per semester. They credits are deducted from their semester bill so they pay less. All our faculty supervise GA work. What work the students do depends on their faculty supervisor but it can involve research, helping with projects, representing the program at open houses, etc.

Happy Tuesday!
I am reaching out to learn what general compensation methods that Grad Assistants in OT programs exist? My faculty is seeking to propose the creation of at least one such position to our small institution for our program. Are the Grad Assistants paid an hourly wage, provided housing, provided a tuition discount, a combination, or other? I am not looking for dollars and cents, just the methods that are out there.
Thank you!!!
Take care and be well,
