Although the themes of advocacy and leadership are threaded throughout our curriculum from day one, we only have a single course in the third year entitled Advocacy and Leadership.

Subject: [OT-PD List - AOTA] - Leadership and Social Justice
Dear Program Directors,
I am writing to seek your input, specifically from programs with an entry-level doctorate offering. Within our original OTD curriculum design, we added an advanced social justice (SJ) and leadership courses to the 3rd year of the OTD program to our existing coursework of existing social justice and leadership courses within the 2nd year of the MSOT part of the program. With two courses focused on both SJ and leadership, I'm wondering about the level of redundancy.
Can you provide me with some insight to the following:
How many courses do you have dedicated to SJ and leadership content within your entry-level OTD programs?
If you don't have specific courses dedicated to these topics, how do you address the related ACOTE standards within other parts of the curriculum?
Many thanks,
Robyn
